Jessica Marie Ellison and Joanna Holland
Jessica and Joanna both have a long history in the Toronto Beauty industry. One is focused on Nails and the other on Esthetics. They met at the original Blobar earlier in 2009, and immediately realized how well they worked together, and how they were both passionate about quality and cleanliness. When the opportunity arose to take over the Blobar they jumped at the chance and are determined to make the Blobar a success.
Jessica Marie
Jessica Marie is an award-winning Nail and Brow Artist. Best known for her impeccable gel French manicures, Jessica is also a highly sought after Brow Artist. Education is her passion, she is an Instructor at Toronto’s George Brown College - teaching the Nail Technician and Art of Eyebrow programs. Jessica loves to inspire her students to become the best – they are competing and winning awards in Canada. Spending much of her spare time competing in live and editorial nail competitions, Jessica also has been a CND Educator in the past and has now joined the Entity Nail Couture team….working with fellow award-winning Canadian Nail Artist - Leanne Henderson of Sweetface Beauty Source.
Her Five Canadian Nail Artist national titles (including her recent Canada wide ‘Contessa’ award for Nail Enhancement Artist of the Year) and several live trophies entice even out of country clientele... Jessica is known in Toronto as a ‘celebrity manicurist’. Her hand-y-work (lol) has graced the fingertips of several celebrities including from Christina Aguilera’s tour, Erykah Badu, CSI Miami’s Sophia Milos, R & B newcomer Melanie Fiona, the cast of Young & The Restless, and our own Toronto Raptors!
Joanna
Joanna is a talented Certified Esthetician who was born in Toronto but grew up in the small country of Luxembourg, in the heart of Europe – mais-oui!! Since starting out in the beauty industry, she has worked in various Spas and Salons and has become the most sought after Airbrush Tanning Artist in the city and the reigning queen of hard wax Brazilians.
Joanna has operated her own Mobile Spa- Joanna’s Airbrush and Esthetics – for the last two years and joined the Blobar about six months ago. Joanna’s amazing artistry and her soft, humorous demeanor have gained her such popularity, we highly recommend advanced reservation when requesting her services. Joanna will have you looking like a gorgeous bronzed Goddess in less than 20 minutes-so come in and get your “glow” on with Jo!
